What does Pneuma Tech do?
Pneuma Tech is a Kuching-based artificial intelligence company, incorporated in Malaysia in August 2026. We build governed AI systems for organisations, develop Elpis, our flagship health platform, and act as a local partner to international investors bringing AI and digital-infrastructure projects to Sarawak.
What does the name Pneuma mean?
Pneuma is the Greek word for breath. Good technology should work the same way: always there, and never in the way.
What is a governed AI system?
It is an AI system scoped to a defined process, owned and used by the client, with governance built in from the start. Every system we build includes versioning, data provenance, human override, incident logging and an audit trail, with defined points where a person reviews, corrects or stops it.
Where do organisations usually start with AI?
Usually with one of four areas: documents and records, knowledge and policy, service requests, or reporting and forecasting. Each keeps a person in the loop to check or act on the result.
Is Pneuma Tech ISO/IEC 42001 certified?
Not yet. We are building our AI management system to ISO/IEC 42001 and are working towards certification.
What is Elpis?
Elpis is a health platform being developed in Sarawak for Malaysian patients, pharmacies and clinics. It is not yet released. Its classification under the Medical Device Act 2012 will be confirmed with the Medical Device Authority before launch.
